P262B - Engine Light ON

Sorry to post in English. I have an Opel Astra GTC 1.4 2013. The engine light is ON and the fault code is P262B. I live in England and here they cannot find the problem. I thought it might be a good idea to ask for help in a German forum. I took it to a Vauxhall (Opel) garage, they did a test and got this code P262B. Then they said the Engine Control Unit ECU needs reprogramming. They reprogrammed the ECU and it did not solve the issue. Now they say that they need to replace the ECU (possible cost of £1000) and they are not sure if it will fix the issue.
